Note: Our students’ attendance matters to us. We want and expect them to be here as much as possible. We value their presence, and their academic success is dependent on it. Organized or coordinated absences from school are not endorsed by Rochester Community Schools, for example “Senior Skip Days”. Students who decide to take part in these events will be responsible for all missed work and assessments that occur on that day. Teachers will be continuing instruction as normal.

FINAL EXAM PREPARATION RESOURCES
Dear Students and Families,
Our district’s Secondary MTSS Coordinator, Taylor Antoski, has put together a few resources for you as we approach final exams. Since this will be the first time many of you have taken final exams, we want to give you tools for success that will carry you through the remainder of high school and even college, should that be your path.
Please begin with video found here: Promo Video. This video was compiled by all three high school’s Student Councils and gives tips and tools for exam preparation.
SPOTLIGHT ON INSTRUCTION
Special Guest: Stephanie Connell
We just started our unit on “Romanticism.” The students learned about the defining qualities of the history, art, and literature in this literary movement. They made posters to create an artistic summary of the history of the time. Each letter in “Romanticism” coincides with an element of the time period. They wrote an explanation for why they picked each image to represent Romantic Thinking.

SHERIFF MIKE BOUCHARD UPDATES!
Oakland County Sheriff, Mike Bouchard, is asking all Oakland County school districts to show the attached school safety video to all students.
The content in the video link below covers two important areas:
1)If you see something, say something – Asking all students to report anything that makes them uncomfortable, scared or unsafe.
2)Inappropriate messages (verbal, written or social media) will be investigated and prosecuted – Reminding all students to be mindful of what they say and post. Inappropriate messages that scare people are against the law.
