Course Request Update for 2023-2024:
Administrators are currently using course request data to determine staffing and build the master schedule. Therefore, no changes can be made to course requests at this time. There will be a window of time in May where students can request a course change for next year. Those requests will be considered on a case by case basis. More information will follow in May.
JUNIORS: COLLEGE INFORMATION:
Interested students can access a College Tip Sheet HERE with information regarding the college application process. In May, counselors will visit junior classrooms to discuss this information.
SENIORS: COLLEGE APP. INFO.
Seniors will need to send final transcripts to the college they’re going to attend. In order to request transcripts, please have your student log in to Parchment (www.parchment.com) and send their transcript to their college using the Order option. They need to choose “Hold for Grades” rather than “Send Now.”
Information for SENIORS regarding college applications, transcripts, Common App., and more is found on the seniors’ Google Classroom and the Senior Weebly.
WORK PERMITS
You can obtain a work permit in the counseling office as well as right inside of the main office.
Make sure to choose the appropriate form (there is a form for UNDER 16 and a separate form for 16 & 17 years old).
Complete Section I, have your employer complete Section II, then bring it back to AHS to be completed. If a parent is bringing the form for their student, we will need a photo ID of the student in order to complete the work permit. Work permits are completed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.

ATHLETIC BOOSTERS NEWS
ADAMBOTS IN HOUSTON
The AdamBots finished up the competition at the World Championship in Houston, Texas. We had a great tournament and finished in 32nd place out of 77 teams with a 5-5 record on the Hopper Field, one of the eight full fields at the tournament. We were not selected in the final alliance selection and did not win the World Championship Impact Award. The winner of our Hopper Field became the World Champion, so it was a very challenging event.
The 16 students who attended represented the school well. We did spend time with the Rochester FEDS who also competed in our field and finished in 62nd place.
We were visited by Fiona Turett, a former AdamBot and graduate or Rochester High School, who is a NASA Flight Director. She was an actual robot driver for the FEDS also and spent time with them as well.
The students attended the Space Center in Houston on Sunday before taking a late flight back to be in school on Monday. They are looking forward to the visit from Mayor Bryan K. Barnett on Tuesday after school in the Media Center at 2:45 p.m.
