CLASS OF 2025
YEARBOOK PICTURES
SUMMER SESSIONS
Dear Parents and Students of the Class of 2025,
All seniors for the class of 2025 will need to get their YEARBOOK PORTRAIT taken by Prestige Portraits. This service is provided free of charge and includes insertion in the yearbook and inclusion on the class composite.
New this year, Prestige will be offering a special In-School No Charge yearbook session on June 24-25 and July 29-30. You will receive communication from Prestige in the weeks prior to the photography event detailing your scheduled appointment. Please use the unique personal appointment code that you will receive to confirm or reschedule your appointment.
To schedule an in-studio senior session, visit https://local.prestigeportraits.com/. The special no-charge yearbook session will be available along with other sessions and upgrade options. If you do schedule your senior picture session, do so in the summer.
All seniors should have their senior portraits taken by Saturday, November 11th. Once the photos are processed, students/parents must choose their preferred photo by November 25, 2023.
If a pose is not chosen by that date, the studio will choose a pose to be submitted. Prestige will then send the photo directly to Mr. Lovalvo.
Students and parents will still have the opportunity to go to their preferred choice of photographer, if it is not Prestige Portraits, for their other senior photos. While only the yearbook pose sitting fee is FREE OF CHARGE, Prestige will be offering significant discounts for other senior picture packages as well.
Please remember that this is a more formal section of the yearbook than the underclassmen photo section. Because of this, students need to dress up - shirt/tie/suit coat, collared shirt, dress, blouse, etc.
All clothing needs to meet these specifications and the RCS dress code policy in order to be included in the yearbook and on the class composite. If you (or your child) need help obtaining proper attire or need more information regarding attire, please contact Mr. Lovalvo at [email protected].
Students who do not get their yearbook photo taken with Prestige by the deadline will not appear in the senior section of the yearbook or the class composite.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Lovalvo at [email protected].

The safety and security of all students and staff at Adams High is always a top priority. To help us in these efforts, please see the information below:
- During Arrival students can enter through 3 entrances, Main (Door 1), Athletics (Door 22), and Highlander Highway (Door 10). All external doors will be locked at 7:30 AM.
- Campus will remain closed throughout the school day. All grades will have lunch on campus.
- Students are NOT to utilize fast food delivery services. For example, DoorDash, GrubHub, Instacart, or Uber Eats, etc. for food delivery.
- If students are traveling to other campuses throughout the day, they are asked to check out of AHS in the Attendance Office and check back in when they return.
- Students are encouraged to utilize their assigned lockers to minimize their belongings in the classroom.
- If you see something, say something. Please report all safety and security concerns to the Main Office Staff or to Deputy Dan Prachar.
COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
If you need to reach out to your student’s counselor, please see below for contact information.
(International Exchange Students are supported by counselors via alpha arrangement)
JUNIORS: College Informational Meetings 5/23
Counselors met with juniors on Thursday, May 23rd. Juniors were given copies of the College Tip Sheet, Student Profile Sheet, and Parent Response Form. The PowerPoint is posted in the students’ Class of 2025 Google Classroom. All of those items are linked HERE in the Junior Weebly as well.
The primary tasks for this summer are to research/visit colleges, and possibly begin drafting essay answers. Transcripts cannot be sent to colleges until early September, so students should not rush to click “Submit” on applications, as no application is complete for college review without an official transcript. We recommend that students hold off on submitting anything until after counselors meet with them in early September.
SENIORS: Transcript & College Application Info.
If/when seniors have selected a college to attend in the fall, they need to log into Parchment (www.parchment.com) and send their final transcript to the college using the “Order” option. Seniors will choose the “Hold for Grades” option, and the transcript will be sent once 2nd semester grades have posted. Final transcripts are sent around the 1st week in July.
Information for seniors regarding college applications, transcripts, Common App., and more is found on the AHS Class of 2024 Google Classroom and the Senior Weebly.
SENIORS: Scholarships
Now is the time for seniors to be applying for college scholarships. Here are some resources:
- The “Scholarship” button on the Adams Counseling web page HERE
- Seniors should review ALL scholarship opportunities at the colleges where they’re applying.
- There are various, helpful scholarship search engines such as www.fastweb.com .
FAFSA/Financial Aid Info.
- The new FAFSA form is available HERE. Changes have been made to the FAFSA for the 2024-2025 school year that will affect many of our students. If you missed the presentation from Oakland University on 11/27, you can find the information HERE.
- Students and parents are welcome to contact the Financial Aid Office of any college/university with questions.
- Regarding the Free/Reduced Lunch question on FAFSA: Students should not select that they qualify for free/reduced lunch solely because they received free lunch in 2023. (Lunches have been free for all MI students this school year.) The FAFSA qualification is based on the family's income and eligibility criteria. Students should select the appropriate option based on their family's income eligibility. For detailed guidance on each question on FAFSA, see the FAFSA Official Website.
PSAT/SAT Scores
PSAT/SAT scores will be available to students via their College Board accounts. Click HERE for detailed information about creating a College Board account to view scores, understand scores, and more! Counselors do not have access to log into students’ College Board accounts for them. If students are having difficulty logging into their accounts, they can contact College Board at 866-433-7728 or [email protected] .
Work Permits
- You can obtain a work permit in the counseling office as well as in the vestibule outside of the main office.
- Make sure to choose the appropriate form (there is a form for UNDER 16 and a separate form for 16 & 17 years old).
- Complete Section I, have your employer complete Section II, then bring it back to AHS to be completed. If a parent is bringing the form for their student, we will need a photo ID of the student in order to complete the work permit.
- Work permits are completed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
