Note From Kim Kelly - PTSA President
Hello Highlanders! We had a busy Teacher Appreciation week and our Adams Community stepped up to show them the love! Highlights include coffee and donuts, grab and go snacks and desserts, succulents for each teacher, free smoothies, and a luncheon with an ice cream sundae bar. Parents donated food, time and gifts, while students made signs and delivered items for us. We originally planned to raffle off gift cards all week, but because of our amazing parents, we were able to give one to every teacher, secretary and para. The majority of cards were for local businesses, further supporting the area.
In addition, a parent anonymously donated $1000 in Jagged Fork gift cards for so each staff member could receive a gift card. The owner of the restaurant wanted to show his appreciation as well, so he and the staff matched the donation and added a free dessert to the gift card. The generosity of our Adams Family never ceases to amaze and humble me.
As we wind down the school year, we look forward to next year and hope to offer all the events our students and parents have come to expect and love. To do this, we need volunteers! Please contact Kate Bass at [email protected] for information on how you can become involved.
Included this week is a flyer for the school supply collection at the end of the year. We will be collecting new and gently used items for the RCS SAC programs and summer programs.
Our final PTSA meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, May 18th at 9:30 am via zoom. Look for link to the meeting and important information next week.
I hope all our moms, both parents and staff, have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
